Animal Control

Animal Control Services are provided by the City of Beverly Hills for the citizens.

The purpose of this department is to enforce all ordinances passed and approved by the City Council. If you wish to report an animal running at large, possible abused, neglected or abandoned animals, you may contact the Animal Control Officer.

All animals impounded by Beverly Hills are housed at the City of Waco Animal Control Facility located at 2032 Circle Road, Waco, Texas 76706. You may contact them at 254-754-1454. Fees may be obtained from this office for their services.

Hours
Beverly Hills Animal Control officer is on duty weekdays from 7 AM to 4 PM. After hours, citizens should contact the Beverly Hills Police Department at 254-752-2584 ext. 1 for Animal Control emergencies. Emergencies include:

  • Live or dead animals impeding traffic
  • Injured animal (owner unknown or cannot be contacted)
  • Animal threatening the safety of people

Animal Control Services include:

  • Animal Bite Investigation
  • Response to stray dog concerns and impoundment of stray dogs
  • Providing humane live traps to capture nuisance wildlife
  • Investigation of Animal Welfare concerns
  • Dead Animal removal from roadways
  • Enforcement of City Ordinances regarding livestock, fowl, and exotic animals
  • Investigation of suspected rabid animals

Stray animals and dead animals that are not impeding traffic are not emergencies. After hour Animal Control non-emergency concerns can be left on our answering machine at 254-752-2584 ext. 3.

The City charges a $80.00 fee for all animals picked up by the Animal Control Officer. An additional Handling Fee of $20.00 will be charged if the animal has had a prior impoundment by the City. All City fees must be paid at the Beverly Hills City Hall located at 3418 Memorial Drive, Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm before any animal impounded by Beverly Hills may be released.

What You Can Do…

  • You must spay or neuter and micro chip your animals.
  • Contact the City of Waco Animal Control Facility for lost or missing animals.
  • Have your animals vaccinated yearly.
