The Beverly Hills Department of Public Safety currently consists of eight (8) six full-time public safety officers and one (1) reserve officer:

Public Safety Officers enforce traffic laws, city ordinances and state laws; respond to fire and medical emergencies, investigate accidents and crime reports, patrol residential and business districts and follow up investigations on reports they receive.
This department provides 24 hours of fire and police protection and when at full staff they work ten-hour shifts with each officer working four days on, and three days off. Reserve Officers help in special events, emergencies and traffic control when needed.
