Animal Control

The Animal Control Officer is responsible reports of animal bites, investigate bite reports, ensure quarantine of possibly rabid animals and otherwise carry out provisions of state law pertaining to control and eradication of rabies, other
state animal regulations and local animal ordinances.

The purpose of this department is to enforce all ordinances passed and approved by the City Council. If you wish to report an animal running at large, possible abuse, neglect or abandoned animals, contact the Animal Control Officer at 254-752-2584 or email: eolivarez@beverlyhillstx.gov Monday thru Friday 7am to 4pm. For after hour emergencies, call 254-752-2585. Emergencies include the following:

Live or dead animals impeding traffic
Injured animal (owner unknown or cannot be contacted)
Animal threatening the safety of people

All animals impounded by the City of Beverly Hills are housed at the City of Waco Animal Control Facility located at 2032 Circle Road, Waco, Texas 76706. You may contact them at 254-754-1454. Fees may be obtained from this office for their services.

Animal Bite Investigation
Response to stray dog concerns and impoundment of stray dogs
Providing humane live traps to capture nuisance wildlife
Investigation of Animal Welfare concerns
Dead Animal removal from roadways
Enforcement of City Ordinances regarding livestock, fowl, and exotic animals
Investigation of suspected rabid animals

Stray animals and dead animals that are not impeding traffic are not emergencies. After hour Animal Control non-emergency concerns can be left on our answering machine at 254-752-2584 ext. 2.

The City charges a $80.00 fee for all animals picked up by the Animal Control Officer. An additional Handling Fee of $20.00 will be charged if the animal has had a prior impoundment by the City. All City fees must be paid at the Beverly Hills City Hall located at 3418 Memorial Drive, Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm before any animal impounded by Beverly Hills may be released.
